I would love to cordially invite you to join me in Fort Lauderdale on February 3rd on an a cruise where we will eat delicious food, have life-changing conversations, connect with other incredible women, & create magical experiences while sailing the Caribbean.

Hey, I'm Kira! & I teach people the mindsets & skills to get out of their own way for love.

A few things about me…

Why go with me? This will be my 28th Retreat!  Since 2014, I have taken groups of amazing women all around the world. Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, Mexico, cruises, and multiple cities around the US. I have actually lived in both Mexico and Costa Rica in the last 5 years.

Why does that matter?  Because traveling (specially as a solo woman) can bring up its own set of challenges. Late flights, lost luggage, language barriers, all of it. I set these retreats up for ease. You just have to get your flights & travel insurance and show up!

BTW, DID YOU KNOW I WAS A FORMER SAILOR?

I actually worked
on cruise ships
for 5 years.

In my 20s & 30s I traveled the world & met some of the coolest people I know while working on Royal Caribbean & Holland America.  It was one of my favorite things I have ever done.

Cruising has a special place in my heart & I want to take a group of 13 women on one of my favorite ships, on my favorite cruise line, to escape winter & RELAX like MOFOs!

This will not be a hardcore, deep-dive retreat.  It will focus on relaxation, connection, & fun!

NOW, BEFORE I TELL YOU ALL THE DETAILS OF THIS RETREAT,

Who is this retreat for?

I’m super duper proud to say that my retreats are:

Body-positive, open-minded,
anti-racist & full of kind, intelligent women.

If you don’t feel like that describes you, this is not the retreat for you.

The theme of the retreat.

Life in our world is stressful. And most of us don’t learn good ways to deal with stress which means it NEVER GOES AWAY.  We will be learning ways to process stress healthily so you can let it go.

And in the meantime, help you remember what a strong, awesome,  fucking superstar you are!

Before, during, & after the cruise we will be working on...

Before, during, & after the cruise we will be working on...

EASY MINDFULNESS

Quick & healthy ways to cope in real time when life gets hard.

02/

EMPOWERMENT BASICS

You were born amazing! But life makes us question every part of ourselves. I’m going to help you remember who you are.

03/

RIDICULOUS FUN

More than anything, we are going to eat yummy food, laugh a ton, & get a little silly.

A few other super fun group activities

(all completely optional, but highly encouraged.)

  • Mrs. Roper Romp

Oh Stanley! Bring your favorite caftan, red wig & chunky jewelry because we are having a Mrs. Roper Romp Night on the ship!

  • SCAVEnGER HUNT of awesomeness

At the beginning of the cruise you will get a list of fun & silly challenges to complete to win prizes throughout the cruise.

  • Fun session activities

Are we talking about smart stuff & our feelings? Yes. But are we also doing arts and crafts, sweary coloring, and even a mini escape room? Also yes. The perfect balance.

Cancellation Policy

Cruise lines are pretty hardcore about cancellations.  They will not allow you to transfer your cruise to anyone else.

I also am putting down deposits the moment you sign-up to hold your cabin at the price I was quoted because they are changing constantly.

IF YOU CANCEL

You get until September 15th to change your cabin type or cancel with a full refund minus the deposit that HAL keeps when we sign-up.

Deposits are non-refundable. Payments on your balance are only eligible for refund when cancellation of your reservation is requested on or before October 1st, 2023.

After October 1, 2023 no refunds will be processed for any reason.

Even if you signed up for a payment plan, you are still required to make your payments whether you are going or not.

If you have travel insurance when you cancel, you are entitled to the cost of your cabin spot and can get a refund from them.

I’m not a dick. But, I work so hard on making these amazing and affordable that I can’t lose money on them.

In the very rare case that this retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full credit of your deposit and payments to use towards a future retreat or services.

Scroll down and fill out the registration form to hold your spot.

All your questions answered!

I know you still have questions, don’t worry, I have answers.
I made you quick responses or audios with all of my thoughts!

Why did you choose Holland America?

I worked on Holland America for two years and love the luxury experience.  It’s a little slower & quieter than lots of cruise ships, but that’s what I love about it.

It’s not too big, all the chairs are big and comfy, it is the best food I have tasted on a cruise line (by far), and it just feels fancy.  I might be from a small-town in Wisconsin, but I like fancy.

A few other cool things about HAL.

THE MUSIC WALK:

The nightlife is centered around the music and casual camaraderie that builds each night as passengers pour into the Music Walk that spans Deck 2 midship.

The space features four genres of music at three different venues, complete with bars and serving staff to fill your drink orders.

You can settle in at one of the areas for the night or wander to see as many acts as possible. B.B. King’s Blues Club offers lively music that folks dance to late into the night. Lincoln Center Stage is the place to hear classic favorites and classic takes on more modern songs played by a string quartet with piano accompaniment. Billboard Onboard is a dueling piano bar where cruisers fill in around the performers to sing along. Rolling Stone Rock Room has a house band that jams to rock classics.

THE WORLD STAGE:

The main theater on Deck 2 is a jaw-dropping space. This is a high-tech, two-deck theater with a 270-degree wraparound LED screen that engulfs you in a high-definition light-and-sound display during the shows. You feel fully immersed in the productions, which range from music performances to song-and-dance productions to enrichment programming like BBC Earth films.

EXPLORATIONS CAFE

The large facility on Deck 12 features a delightful coffee shop and lounge area with great vistas through large panoramic windows.

Dozens of comfortable seating areas offer places to relax with the views. Bookshelves hold all kinds of cultural and travel reading materials. Interactive touch-screen computers allow you to look up in-depth information on your port areas.

From this site.

Can you help me find a roommate?

Absolutely!  But I can’t guarantee a roommate or the cabin level you want.

I made an audio below.

When & where do I need to fly in?

Fly into the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) anytime on February 3rd.

We always come in the day before for cruises in winter since there may be flight delays or weather and the ship waits for no one.   It also makes the first day on the cruise a lot more fun if you not exhausted

Where should I stay in Fort Lauderdale?

After a ton of research, I have booked a room block at avid airport/cruise hotel.

It includes: free airport shuttle & breakfast.

After you book and we are a little closer, if you need a room (and roommate) we will set it up for you!

You are welcome to stay anywhere.  So if you have a friend or some points at a different hotel, go for it.

You just need to be at avid at 10:15 am to ride over together to the ship.

I am a vegan/vegetarian or allergies, can my diet be accommodated?

From the HAL site.

“For guests who avoid meat and dairy, we have plenty of vegan choices in our restaurants.

The main Dining Room offers an exclusive vegan and vegetarian menu with an extensive list of items to choose from.

Guests can enjoy everything from vegetable spring rolls and grilled tostadas to vegetable jambalaya and tempeh kebobs!

No matter what your taste, you’ll be sure to find something delightful. Just be sure to ask for the menu early in the cruise.

Tamarind, our award-winning Pan-Asian alternative dining restaurant, gives guests many vegetarian dishes, as does the casual Lido Market.

Many dishes in our other venues can be altered and made with substitutions to make them vegan friendly.

For guests who are vegetarian, we have even more options at your disposal.

In the Dining Room, the main menu offers a variety of vegetarian selections spanning each course, and guests also can request the exclusive vegetarian and vegan menu.

In addition to a number of choices in the Lido Market, alternative restaurants Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind, Canaletto, Rudi’s Sel de Mer, Dive-In and New York Pizza all have vegetarian choices.

Each of these restaurants also features a leaf icon on the dishes that highlight the vegetarian-friendly food, making it quick and easy to scan for appropriate items.

Our In- Room Service offers the same feature as well. Finding vegetable-based alternatives is easy task onboard.

Beyond meat and dairy restrictions, we understand that there are many guests who have food allergies that make it hard to travel and dine without extensive planning. Our travelers with Celiac’s disease or gluten sensitivities will find items made without gluten are marked with the symbol of wheat next to their descriptions. Our Dive-In burgers also can be made with gluten-free buns. While our main ingredients are listed with each menu item, you may not know if a meal contains trace amounts other common allergens such as nuts, milk or butter. If you are excited about a menu item, but not sure if it is gluten free or contains another allergen, speak to your server and our culinary team to be sure that each meal is safe and healthy for you to enjoy.”

Here is an awesome blog that shared their vegan experience on HAL with menus!  Go here.

What if I have to cancel? Is there a refund?

Cruise lines are pretty hardcore about cancellations.  They will not allow you to transfer your cruise to anyone else.

I also am putting down deposits the moment you sign-up to hold your cabin at the price I was quoted because they are changing constantly.

I also put a shit-ton of work into these so people changing their mind.  I can’t lose money

So here is the cancellation/refund policy.

Why do singles cost so much more?

Single cabins and double cabins are usually the exact same price.

I made an audio about it here.

Will I get seasick?

Probably not.  I made you an audio about it here.

Will I get bored or claustrophobic?
What other expenses should I expect?

You get to make this experience as fancy or basic as you want!

Most food and basic non-alcoholic drinks (water, coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade) are free!  There is even free soft serve all day!  Also pizza, baked goods, the list goes on and on.

However, there are many upgrades to make the most of your experience but are completely optional.

  1. Beverage package Like a cappucino in the morning, lots of sparkling/bottled water, soda, and some cocktails? You might want to upgrade to beverage package.  Can you do so closer to the cruise.
  2. Shore Excursions (or tours) are optional activities you can do in port through HAL or our travel agency.  They are usually about $40-$200 for all day tours.  You can sign-up closer to the cruise.
  3. Activities onboard Most activities are free (shows, music trivia, etc) but there a few things that cost money.  Online shops, the casino, the spa & salon, & bingo (for money).
  4. Specialty food. There are some specialty restaurants & food that are an extra cost.
I don't drink, is that a problem?

NOPE. As a 50 year old woman who gets shitty hangovers, I will not be drinking much or at all.  Danny (my husband is also 8 years sober!)

There are even daily AA meetings onboard.

If you are newly sober and are triggered by drinking or bars/lounges, then this might not be the right match for you right now.
